About Me

Though I am not much of a partier, I love dancing & meeting new people. I love a good "side mission" and really seek to integrate into the communities that I travel to.
I grew up in a big city, (and currently reside in a small city) but I've come to truly appreciate living in the countryside. I am a part of a co-operative permaculture farm along the Bay of Fundy in beautiful Nova Scotia. At Red Clay, I've fostered a love for organic farming, cooperative living and alternative building methods. Community arts and education is also important to me. I am always looking to learn new skills and methods to bring back to the farm community with me.
I'm an artist, poet , lover of nature and run a pirate radio station in Halifax. I love storytelling above all else- am always interested to learn new ones from the people I meet & create new memories !
I’m a strong believer in life long learning- I’m curious about so much the world has to offer. I’m super open & love chatting about the nature of living, learning & loving.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing seems to lend itself to a much more authentic travelling experience. I'm as happy to learn about new people, as I am places and things to do.
I'm happy to cook meals together (if that suits you). Always open to suggestions for adventures!
I am also happy to keep to myself.
Though I don't currently have a couch to crash on (due to travelling), I happy to provide one if you ever fancy visiting Nova Scotia.

Music, Movies, and Books

I grew up listening to indie/punk music, but since have fallen deeply in love with jazz, soul and bluegrass. I’ve always wanted to learn the banjo. I love live music- especially a good ol’ Nova Scotia Kitchen party.
My current favourites:
-Gillian Welch
- Big Theif
-Feist
-hovvdy
- Townes van Zandt
- Django Reinhardt
- Alice pheobe Lou
- Daniel Caeser
- Jonathan Richman
- Fleetwood Mac
- Ostrea Lake

I don't watch many movies or Tv shows anymore,
but I love Big Fish & oh brother where art thou.

My favourite book is called "The Women That Run With Wolves" by Clarissa Pinkola Estes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As a teenager I jumped on stage with Feist and spent the entire show on stage with my sisters.
I also grew up in the circus- but I’d have to thank my dad for that one.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning new skills & chatting about philosophy. I am very open hearted and community oriented.
I’m a very spiritual person. Learning to listen to my inuition has lead me down so many wonderfully serendipitous adventures. I read tarot & animal medicine cards. I am currently travelling because of a very powerful experience under hypnosis therapy- it’s a wild story!
