I'm Amanda, a Brazilian solo traveler and spontaneous storyteller. I used to be a Human Rights communicator, now I'm a digital nomad with a backpack full of energy, stories, and a deep belief in human connection.

On my first trip outside Brazil, I traveled solo for 15 months through 16 countries in Europe and Southeast Asia, volunteering in 9 of them. It changed my life completely. I discovered the magic of low-cost backpacking, random acts of kindness, and how empowering it is to survive and thrive far from your comfort zone. That trip was the best decision I’ve ever made.

From 2021 to 2023, I lived in the Brazilian Amazon, in Roraima State, the region that borders both Venezuela and Guyana, working in the humanitarian field response with UNHCR and UNICEF. I coordinated a community radio station inside Latin America's largest refugee shelter, La Voz de los Refugiados is a radio project where Venezuelan volunteers broadcast to their community to combat fake news and empower themselves about their rights. Later, I worked with UNICEF, supporting both Venezuelan refugees and Indigenous peoples, including the Yanomamis.

💜 Spent International Women's Day in Barcelona;
🚤 Couchsurfed on a boat in Corfu;
🎉 Was at King’s Day in Amsterdam;
🏕️ Lived in an Albanian beach camping for more than 1 month;
🚗 Crossed Albania 5 times hitchhiking alone;
🍹 Worked on a booze cruise in Kotor for one month;
🤿 Was in Mostar at the Red Bull Diving Championship (2019);
🍻 Realized one fantastic dream: the Oktoberfest in Munich;
✈️ Bought a one-way ticket to Thailand;
🌴 Worked with tourism on Koh Phi Phi;
🦠 Was repatriated by the Brazilian government when I was on the other side of the world (fucking Covid);
📻 Coordinated a community radio station in the largest refugee shelter in Latin America;
🌐 Worked at the United Nations.

Others things I've done: parachute Jump, trekking through Pedra Grande, bronze medal in the Brazilian Judo Championship in 2003.
