Overview
About Me
Happy, positive enthusiastic girl. I love meeting new people from different cultures and countries, to understand the world a little better, and make new friends. I’m very easy going and respectful of others. Traveling is my biggest passion. I am a real foodie and love cooking for others and myself. I love to play guitar, especially around camp fires, and I’m always down for some sports. I like to make sure everyone is having a great time and really enjoying themselves.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on Couchsurfing because I am traveling to New Zealand and Australia January-June 2019 and I would absolutely love to meet locals or other travelers on a personal level. My main goal is to make as many meaningful connections as I can. Of course I will gladly help with any tasks that are expected of me, like cooking a meal for me and my host. I have a lot of stories to share about my home country, The Netherlands, and Cape Town, South Africa.
Interests
My interests stretch wide, my greatest interests are: art, creativity, reading, playing guitar, learning (anything), traveling, hiking, fashion, horse riding, surfing, cooking, food and children.

Music, Movies, and Books
Any music, from rock to classical, but it has to make me feel something. No pop music. I love old Dutch and American literature, like Fitz-Gerald. Any book with a good story will do. I enjoy watching most movies, as long as there isn’t too much useless violence.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I’ve lived in Cape Town, South Africa.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would be delighted to teach people some Dutch, German or Afrikaans, since I am fluent in each one. I bet I could teach some tunes on the guitar. Over all I have a wide knowledge of the places I have lived and experiences/hardship that I’ve faced. I tend to have very open, respectful and enlightening conversations with people.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share some of my favorite recipes, play/teach guitar and share my favorite music. I can definitely teach my hosts Dutch, German or Afrikaans. Besides all of that I am known to make great conversation. I am respectful, non-judging and very open minded. Above all I am very positive and easy going, which makes me an easy, but fun, guest.
