About Me

I am 19 and currently attending Community College working towards an A.S. In Environmental Science.
That being said I still do live at home w/ parents (pretty cool people)
Environmental Science is my thing I love meeting people who are interested in things pertaining to the natural world and this crazy little blue and green ball we live on.
I am specializing my career studies to costal environmental studies. So I do a decent amount of volunteering down at the shore wether it be beach clean ups, horse shoe crab tagging or dune planting I love working on the sand.

The Shark River is the basin of water in which I live on. It is a bay fed into by an inlet connecting to the Ocean (side note there is 5 major ocean basins but one world ocean) Living 10 minutes from the beach and 1 from the Shark River inlet, the water has been a big part of my life growing up.

I surf year round here in jersey. The water gets down in to the low thirties but I have an old 5 millimeter wetsuit that makes it bearable to be out in the water in the winter to catch the better waves the essay coast has to offer. In the summer it is nice to take off the seal suite but the waves are not as good. I will still be out in the water on a board when ever I have the opportunity.

I for some wild reason I decided it was a good idea to purchase a 25foot sailboat at the age of 18.
The 1978 Hunter 25 has been very difficult fitting in my wallet but working throughout the year I mange to make from for it.
This will be my second summer owning the sailboat and I get out on it very often so at the end of the day it’s worth every penny :)
I have a background of sailing small “dinghy” boats but am a self taught keel boat sailor.
Always willing to teach what I know and learn what I don’t when it comes to sailing.

I have a great background with my local area and sounding beach towns. I work at Bradley Beach as a lifeguard Aka the best job ever! This will be my fourth summer working on the beach and I absolutely love going to work every day. During a work day I can be found rowing the 2 person rescue boats (a significant figure in Jersey Shore lifeguard history) surfing rescue boards on my break and of corse sitting on a stand carefully watching the water ;)

I have a rad red and white retro beach cruiser called the Dino Glide which has been my chariot around the Jersey shore for a near decade. ( I can share her to one with caring hands

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On my first backpacking expedition I decided to travel to Costa Rica alone with the only thing guaranteed is a flight there and a flight back two weeks later.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can sail and surf in which I can teach what I know and learn what I don’t.
I know a thing or two about a thing or two so I may have some knowledge you may find interesting.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can assist with a task around the home.

Countries I’ve Visited

Aruba, Bahamas, Costa Rica, Curaçao, Dominican Republic
