I would describe myself as an urban planning enthusiast because I love the field I'm working in and I'm very keen on studying new places and their development. Anyway, while traveling I love to explore more than just the cities. I enjoy an active lifestyle. While exploring cities I love to visit artistic neighborhoods and see how art functions as a part of the city. I think each place has its own character and vibe, and even though it might sometimes be hard to understand it and it can even be uncomfortable at times, I still like to experience that and if possible learn about the place from the locals.
I always try to see beyond the typical touristy sites. While traveling I love to just wander around and find myself in different neighborhoods and places. Since planning is a part of who I am I do plan my trips to be efficient and organized, but I've proven to myself many times that by going off the track I' ve actually discovered the most amazing sites and had the best adventures.

What fascinates me the most about traveling is the people I meet. Time goes by and I forget the magnificent views and the delicious food, however, I never forget the people I' ve met and how they made me feel or what new vision and ideas they've put in my head. I believe that each person we come across along our way can teach us something new both about ourselves and about the world out there.
To sum it up, I believe that we as individuals are responsible for our lives and we should be discovering the depths of ourselves, however, there's is something powerful about communities and people coming together and having shared experiences, therefore I aim to find a balance between the two.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Up until now I have mostly traveled together with someone or traveled to meet a friend at the destination, but now that's changing and I feel that this site could be useful for me to meet great people along the way.
