About Me

Oakland-based wanderer who believes the best way to understand a city is through its street food, its stadiums, and its people — in that order.
By day, I'm a tech PM navigating the AI world in San Francisco. By night (or weekend), I'm probably chasing a good hike, hunting for the best coffee spots or eatery in a new neighborhood, or trying to capture the perfect shot of something I've never seen before.
I'm the kind of traveler who reads up on local geopolitics before landing somewhere new, because context makes every conversation richer. Ask me about Soccer, cricket, or the latest current affairs in the world and I'll have opinions. Possibly too many.
Big sports fan. Real ones — basketball, football, soccer, cricket, tennis,F1. I watch them all with equal passion and questionable loyalty.

If you're hosting me, I promise to: be genuinely curious about your city, eat whatever you recommend without hesitation, and leave your place cleaner than I found it.

If I'm hosting you, expect good coffee, trail recommendations, and probably a debate about something happening in the news.
Always down to explore, always up for adventure — just don't ask me to skip the local food market.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've moved around a lot over the last few years — different States, different time zones, different lives. And somewhere along the way I realized that the friendships you make on the road often end up being the most real ones.
Couchsurfing, for me, isn't about the free bed. It's about the 11pm kitchen conversation with a stranger who becomes a friend. It's about learning that a city you thought you knew looks completely different through a local's eyes. It's about swapping stories over home-cooked food and leaving with a perspective you didn't have before.

I've always believed that the best travel hack isn't a guidebook or a top-10 list — it's a person who actually lives there. A host who says "skip that place, here's where we actually go" is worth more than any travel blog.
Having been the new person in a new city more times than I can count, I also know how much it means to have someone open their door and say welcome. That energy is exactly what I want to give back when I'm hosting, and what I look for when I'm traveling.

Mostly though — I just love meeting people. Different cultures, different worldviews, different ways of living. Every host and every guest has taught me something. I'm here to keep that going.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music — this one's easy.
EDM basically raised me. Avicii, Hardwell, Afrojack, Armin van Burren, David Guetta, Illenium etc — if it drops hard and makes a crowd lose their minds, I'm in. There's something about a massive festival set that feels like a religious experience, and I'll stand by that.
But I've got equal love for the other side of the spectrum — Eminem, Linkin Park, Imagine Dragons, Post Malone. Basically if it hits hard emotionally or sonically, it's on my playlist. Sometimes both at the same time.

Movies — yes.
Big fan of anything with a good story, real stakes, and smart writing. Thrillers, sci-fi, anything that makes you think a little after the credits roll. Also won't say no to a great sports movie or a solid action flick. I do geek out on Marvel Movies and John Wick Series.

Books — honest answer?
The world moves fast and I'd rather be out in it than reading about it. I get my deep dives through documentaries, podcasts, and way too many hours of current affairs rabbit holes. Does that count?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Packed a bag, and did my first ever solo trip abroad — France and Switzerland. Just me, a camera, and absolutely no one to compromise with on the itinerary.
No group. No safety net. Just figuring it out as I went — navigating foreign trains, ordering food in a language I don't speak, and discovering that getting a little lost in a new country is actually the whole point.
Somewhere between the streets of Paris and the Swiss Alps I realized solo travel is less about being alone and more about being completely present. Every decision yours. Every moment unfiltered.
Still one of the best things I've ever done. Highly recommend it to anyone on the fence
