I am Anaïs, I am 21 years old and I come from France. I study political sciences, I got my bachelor's degree and I am in my gap year since September. I plan to travel around Middle East during 4 or 5 months.
Last year, I spent one year in Turkey for an Erasmus (an European exchange studying program). I lived in Izmir, in the West part of Turkey but I could travel and visit many different places in Turkey. I loved spending a year in Turkey. I met new people, I discovered another culture, beautiful landscapes and cities and I learnt the Turkish and Ottoman history.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

After a year spent in Turkey, I only wanted to travel again around Middle East and Caucasus to know new countries of these areas. That is why I took a gap year. My first purpose of travelling is to meet people and share time with them. Couchsurfing is a nice and funny way to travel and meet people.

And my favorite book is "The roots of Heaven", it is from Romain Gary, a French author. It is about Africa and elephants, I advise it to you !

I am really interested in news and how the world works. I like to learn new ways of life and local initiatives to change the world. I would like to learn new recipes and I can teach french ones to you. Also I would like to share my music with you and listen to yours.
Basically, I travel to discover new cultures and new ways of life and to share a good time with who wants to spend time with me.

Of course if you are interested in learning French or if you want to know some stuff about France and Europe (politics, geography, history etc.. ) I can teach you and we can speak about it !
