Hello everyone, we are Yiğit and Esra, best friends from high school in İstanbul Turkey who are now living in Bonn, Germany close to the border with the Netherlands. We both speak Turkish and English fluently.

Yiğit is 24 years old and is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Sociology, and he recently started studying journalism as well. He is a polyglot who knows German, a bit of Japanese, Greek, and Spanish. Yiğit has many hobbies, such as playing the Bağlama (traditional Turkish instrument) and doing tattoos. He is passionate about exploring new cultures and is a true culture enthusiast of Turkey!

Esra will be turning 30 this month, and she just finished her Master's thesis on sustainable agriculture. Her academic background is in evolutionary biology, which is also one of her biggest hobbies. Esra loves cooking (and she cooks literally good!) and sharing what she cooks with her friends, which means she will be super hyped to cook Turkish food for you too. =)
