About Me

Hi,

I don't really know what I wan't to do with my career, so I decided to wander for some time and figure it out. After graduating from Uni, I tried my luck living in England. I lived there for 3 years, but this kind of stationary life is not yet for me. So after quitting my job, i started to plan my own grand tour. I always loved to walk (cities or nature) and sightseeing in general, but recently I got very interested in hiking some more remote places. My dream is to do PCT someday. I still like to visit new cities and meet interesting people, but wandering alone in the outdoor is my main goal right now. As someone with a lot of free time, and friendly approach I enjoy hitchhiking, and I traveled across Europe that way (never been in Scandinavia though). In my free time I love to read books, or play video games. I also enjoy cooking and watching food documentaries (there is this series about china cuisine traditions that I love).

I'm ready to assist in Your activities, I like to experience new things. So if You would like to host me and do some stuff, usually I will be interested. In the other hand If You don't really have time or desire to do anything with Your guest and You can offer only a piece of floor, that's fine with me to. Do not feel obliged to entertain me, I will have some book ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

So, my current plan is to hike a little bit in New Zealand, and then go to Japan to complete Shikoku 88 Temple Pilgrimage. I will travel alone, so being able to meet with someone from time to time will be most desirable. It's good to refresh yourself with some good company, share some experiences and get some tips from local residents to enrich your journey.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Mainly I'm a metalhead. I also enjoy classic rock (dad music), good piano, funk, jazz and all this new synthwave, vaporwave, horrorwave, citypop and future funk.

Movies: My favorite is "The Big Lebowski". I really enjoy good comedies, science fiction, fantasy, musicals and BBC documentaries about wildlife.

Books: Mostly classic Science Fiction and fantasy, also newer ones. Travel and historic literature are also my thing. I also read my fair share of old D'n'D setting books (best ones are from 2'nd edition). My favorite authors include Heinlein, Asimov, Simmons, Dick, Howard, Herbert, Card, Wagner, Tolkien, Pratchett, Le Guin, Hearn, Glukhovsky, Sapkowski, Ossendowski, Cejrowski, Halik, Fiedler, Gaiman and Lovecraft.

Teach, Learn, Share

I do love to learn about new cultures and customs, so I will have lots of questions if You are willing to share something. Most likely I will have a lot of questions about Your opinion about local highlights. I don't really like to use travel guides, waste of backpack space.

What I can offer to You? Couple of stories from all over Europe, where I just to hitchhike during my uni years. If you are interested about polish culture or how does living in London look like, I will be Your guide.
