Hi my name is Imke,

I am a 24-year old German girl currently studying North American studies in Berlin, but am originally from a village between Hamburg and Berlin.

I’m a huge dog and animal lover so extra-excited if you have a pet, am a bit of a foodie and will try any food and like cooking if I have the time, and love to go out and be social and talk to anyone.

I have traveled quite a bit (a lot in the US since I just did my study abroad and also volunteering year there) and think visiting someone is the most fun and insightful to get to know a new place.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love that couchsurfing brings people together that might have never met and hung out otherwise. I just love to meet new people and experience a new place from the person I’m visiting.

music: really anything, but I especially love throwback 80s or 2000s songs for dancing, as well as Jazz or Indie

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- lived in a little college town in California close to Santa Barbara between the mountains and the ocean for almost a year
- tried standup
- worked in a sweets factory (Trolli, makes sour worms for example)
- grew up on a blueberry farm

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook a meal or make a good smoothie, share my experience of growing up in rural Germany or a funny travel story. I am eager to do the dishes or be of help otherwise.
