About Me

Hi CS family :) My name is Tolgonay (friends call me Ay). I am an undergarduate international student majoring in Finance. I am a from a beatiful country Kyrgyzstan, which is located in the heart of Central Asia.
Most of the people are not familiar with my home country, so here is a brief description: Kyrgyzstan used to be a part of Soviet Union. It neighbors with China, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. Historically kyrgyz people used to be nomads, and lived in high mountains. 2 official languages: Kyrgyz and Russian.

I currently study and live in Houston, TX. I would love to meet new people and engage in cultural exchange. Friendly, open-minded and curious about this world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am very passionate about different cultures and nations. I would love to meet different people and learn from them. I am a travel enthusiast, although I did not have much time to do so due to my studies. From my side I can offer interesting converstations, cultural and language exchange. I am fluent in English and can teach you some Russian, Kyrgyz or Turkish.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have water fasted for 20 days (0 calories, only water). It was such an amazing experience. My mind has clarified, in that state I was able to find answers to some of my existential questions.
