About Me

I am grateful I’ve travelled places and I have hosted people I've met in the app. This is a great experience to meet people and make friends, better understanding about their culture and their/my perception of my own culture. I want to take a solo travel to Hawaii and I would be grateful to learn more about the locals. It’s not the same to go with a tourist point of view than to ask and explore with a local. I think we miss so much as a simple traveling for leisure.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Getting to know more cultures, make new friends, offer my experiences, and my home as well. The world is a place for everyone to share and enjoy.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Colombian music, more like ballads or alternative songs. Salsa, merengue, and traditional rhythms are a must for me but I always keep open mind and like to try new dancing, listening to new music. I am getting back to read more books. So far, I’ve read four books this year (which is not that usual for me) but the first step is to start! Instead, I’m getting into listening to podcast a lot! I learn and keep inform about my country (I am from Colombia), and get to listen to new topics. I’ve been listening to an audio book: Atomic Habits by James Clear.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelling. Realizing my reality is not the only one and all realities are valuable.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a strong opinion about kindness and righteousness. I love learning about human development and how cultures can be stronger together. I was an English/Spanish teacher in Colombia but my bachelor was in Social Communication and Journalism. I can tell about what I know, but I’m always open to debate, talk, socialize respectfully about our different perspectives.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like sharing fun facts about my country, the food, their people. I like rhythms so I’ll show some dancing (traditional ones as well). I like talking about social issues and cultural differences but similarities as well.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, China, Germany, Israel, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Singapore, Spain, Thailand, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, Colombia, United States
