Hi there, I'm Marie.

I'm a retired farmer/entrepreneur/writer/artist, and I live in Crestone, Colorado on the toes of the Sangre de Cristo mountains--7700ft elevation for the high alpine desert valley and 14,000ft for our amazing mountain peaks. It's a long way from any large city (4 hours) and at the end of a single road that leads to Crestone, the Baca, and Casita Park, a small community of perhaps 2000 people, though most of them are seasonal as winter seems to last an eternity and few really want to brave that. LOL!

I have broad and eclectic interests and generally get along well with just about anyone and can talk at any level with some sort of knowledge or wisdom. I'm totally at home with any animal, wild or domestic--yes, I can even speak fluent Cockatoo and kitty alike. They know I KNOW, and so do most other animals that either reside with me or I meet in the wild or on the street or in the field. I've built my own farm from the dirt up, have a great affinity and knowledge of horses as I've ridden, trained, bred, and doctored them my entire life. If you're an animal person, we'll get along brilliantly. If you're a nature person, ditto. If you love the earth and all she holds dear, you're my kind of person.

But that's only a fraction of who I am.

Gawd, this is going to take forever to write. I have so many interests it's insane.

I very much want to return to Ireland and find my place there. I went there back in 2004 and it was like coming home. 2 weeks was nowhere long enough to see everything I wanted to see, do everything I wanted to do, meet everyone I wanted to meet. Now in the last chapter of my life, I need to come home to that place I've never been, and time grows gravely short as the body begins to betray me and give me up for dead. There's so much I want to do before the game is over and all the pieces are swept from the board.

If you're in Ireland, I'd thoroughly love to talk to you and even visit if it seems right. If you'd like to visit this strange, out of the way place I call home here in Colorado, I'd be more than happy to host you, though it shouldn't have to be said that you must love animals to stay here and not afraid of roughing it. I have 2 Irish Wolfhounds, a blue-eyed Pitbull, a red Crestone dog and 17 kitties. (I'm at an all time low in animal companions as my home here is nothing at all like or as big as my California farm that I moved from to be in this place).

Anyway, if you're into nature and animals, the paranormal, UFO experiences, good shows like Game of Thrones, 420 friendly, philosophical, a good storyteller like me, funny and fun loving, into soaking at hotsprings or eating great gluten-free cuisine (I'm a good cook and you'll never miss your sandwiches or other wheat-laden things LOL) and exploring everywhere and everything, let's connect. I'm always ready to learn new things as it gets tiring knowing it all. LOLOL!!
