My name's Marta, I'm 22 and an Indonesian-Malay Philology student in Poznań, Poland, where I also take Japanese classes. I don't know what I wanna do with my life yet but one of my biggest goals atm is getting a scholarship in Indonesia, spending there at least one semester and explore South-East Asia while I'm there.

I'm a very shy and awkward potato but I laugh at many not funny things so we'll get along if you're a joker and/or like (bad) comedies. I'm open-minded, curious and (I think) a good listener.

My weird kinks are looking at paintings from close up to see details in brush strokes, conspiracy theories about aliens and seeing similarities between different languages.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm just starting here. I've always been fascinated by the world and a variety of places and cultures to discover and I decided that, since, oh boy, I'm 22, it's time to do something about it.

I want to open up myself for people, get to know cultures, places and personal stories.

Interests

I love taking pictures, listening about other people's passions, the night sky and I could spend hours just looking at pictures of nature and I'm not ashamed to say I often do that. I like languages, watching bad movies, architecture, music, art, psychology, science, space, black coffee, dark beer and pineapple on pizza.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music taste mostly revolves around many types of rock music, althouth I'm a big fan of early synth pop and new wave with a touch of electronic music as well. My favorite bands/artists would be Depeche Mode, Enter Shikari and Avenged Sevenfold. I'm also falling in love with Gary Numan's music atm.

Robert Wise's films are my thing. I love watching bad old horror and sci-fi movies and I'm a big Trekkie. Right now, my favorite movie, which I fell in love with just recently, is "I Never Promised You a Rose Garden".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I survived working for 1.5 months in the Netherlands, while living in spartan conditions, drinking and smoking a lot and surrounded by lots of close-minded people. And I still had fun!
