I am a traveller from Czechia, trying to see new places and experience as much as possible. I like korean, geocaching, anything related to geography and so on. I am also a vegetarian, but i try not to be one of the annoying vegetarians, like a nice one. One day, i would like to visit super some super isolated place such as Tristan de Cunha or Pitcairn island.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In February 2019, I arrived in a village called Dipkarpaz in Northern Cyprus. It was 8 pm, and I had nowhere to go. I had a sleeping bag, so i could sleep on the beach, but when the bus driver asked me with his horrible english where I sleep, he didnt get that I will sleep outside. So he took me to his house, and even thought I speak no turkish and he spoke almost no english, we somehow got by. His wife made us dinner, we watched Minions in turkish, and after dinner, he took me to show his sheep. I even helped him to fix a leg of one of his sheep. His house had just one room, and his wife just recently gave birth to their second child, so she probably wasnt in the idea of a stranger sleeping in their house, so her husband let me sleep in his bus. When thinking about it, it was my strongest experience from Cyprus. I dont think I could reexperience something like that on Couchsurfing, since everyone here probably has internet connection and they can hold a basic conversation in english, but that is generally why I´m on Couchsurfing. To get the best experience from visiting a place as possible.
