About Me
Hi!
I'm Aviaja and I've been traveling around Europe for almost a year now, mainly through Workaway, but I've wanted to try out Couchsurfing for such a long time, so now here I am!
(and I do realize that I don't really have any reviews on here (yet!), so if you wanna check out my workaway, which has a couple up, it's https://www.workaway.info/workawayerprofile.html?w=Aviaja03 ))
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm couchsurfing to get a more local experience of a place! I wanna meet interesting people to share a mutual cultural exchange with and for them to show me their home, country, city, the way that they experience it.

Music, Movies, and Books
I've grown up with Manu Chao and "Murder Ballads" by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, so as a result my music taste is maybe a bit eclectic and/or hectic. So while I often do appreciate some good Fleetwood Mac, Nina Simone, Cage the Elephant or Amy Winehouse, I'm sure I can surprise you with the occasional oddity.
My all time favorite film is Mulholland Drive and I love pretty much everything David Lynch has done. My comfort film is Dog Day Afternoon, but my favorite genre is horror! I generally prefer art-house and indie films.
I also have Letterboxd - which I mostly use to keep my watchlist and likes organized -, in case you wanna check out what we might have in common.
Many of my favorite books I've read after I watched the film adaptation (The Shining, Let the Right One In, etc.), however I also like some poetry like Audre Lorde and Michael Strunge.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Started traveling alone !
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd love to just hang out and cook something together to some music, exchanging recipes and music, and having some interesting conversations.
I'm a very curious person and love learning, so there's really very few things I don't find interesting. If you have some cool or odd hobby/interest I'll probably ask a bunch of questions, so feel free to do the same - sharing knowledge is the coolest !
When I'm traveling to new places I usually like seeing cultural things or just walk - I've found that my favorite way to see a place is just to walk around for a couple of hours with no itinerary. I'm not much of a party-person, so when going out I generally tend to prefer smaller crowds and places where you can talk over some wine.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can bake some pretty decent bread, share some niche cinema knowledge and could probably have an absurd amount of fun organizing your kitchen cupboard.
