About Me

An adventurer, feminist, human rights and enviromental activist who's passionate for humanity gestues, art, veganism and discover new lands.
.
I'm from Belém, a city at Eastern Amazon, extreme North of Brazil, and raised in a family with lebanese+brazilian indigenous roots which give a huge value for cuisine and history of our origins and like spread the word for everyone who wants to know and try (in my case, local food in a plant-based style!). On my days job I'm lawyer and on days-off I'm amateur photographer, vegan cooker beginner, and, when the days-off are longer, a solo backpacker.
.
Please, If you flert with sexism, racism, homophobia, fascism or any other kind of hate speech, I suggest you look for another CSer.
.
At moment I'm not hosting, but If you want do a hangout or looking for tips about trips over Brazil, you can get in touch.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here because, for me, travel is the best way to have cultural exchange and meet new people, which, in my opinion, expands perfectly our concept about empathy and humanities. Honestly, travel makes me feel more alive because definetly I go out of my comfort zone exploring new routes.
.
Since before join to CS, I was already sympathized with the idea of give support and be supported when travel with the rightest informations for the best travel experiences and interact with people of all the cultures from many sides of the world and that's my philosophy here.
.
Also, I believe that everyone has the right to explore the world safe, but as a feminist and as a female solo traveller, I chose advocate this, so If you're a female solo traveller too, I'd love keep in contact with you to share experiences and tips for the best travel experiences. I like the ideia of make a female solo traveller protection net here.

Interests

I like interact. I'm deeply interested about human rights, environment, histories of art and heavy music, vinyl records, vegan cuisine and how we can addapt local food to a plant-based style, feminism, LGBTQI+ rights and photograghy. Plus, talk about curiosities, what keeps you up and what you consider correct attitudes for a better world. Yes, I adore deep talks.

Music, Movies, and Books

🎵 I'm a heavy music worshipper. I started my solo travels to attend concerts of my favorites bands. I like listen specifically heavy, thrash, death and black metal and 70s rock music. My favorites bands are Iron Maiden, UFO, Saxon, Uli Jon Roth and Rainbow. I also like brazilian popular music, chanson française, classical music and caribbean songs. Sometimes I like dance.
.
📚 I've been reading more books from female writers and my favorites are Voices of Chernobyl - Svetlana Aleksiévitch; The Second Sex - Simone de Beauvoir; The Trash Room - Carolina Maria de Jesus; Women, Race and Class - Angela Davis; The Good Women of China - Xinran. Literatures about history of XIX and XX century, egiptology and dark art have my predilection as well!
.
🎥 I can describe myself as a horror film addict and an exploitation films adorer, but I also like films that makes you think and wanna discuss about. Teorema - Pier Paolo Pasolini; Santa Sangre - Alejandro Jodorowsky; Martyrs - Pascale Laugier; Suspiria - Dario Argento; Goodbye Lenin - Wolfgang Becker; Nous Sommes Tous des Assassins - André Cayatte; Onibaba - Kaneto Shindo; Parasite - Bong Joon-Ho; Cure - Kiyoshi Kurosawa; Lady Revenge - Park Chan-wook; The bird people in China - Takashi Miike.
