Oi, eu me chamo Beatriz mas você pode me chamar de Bia. Tenho 21 anos, estudo jornalismo numa faculdade na pequena Portalegre, principal cidade do Alto Alentejo em Portugal. Sou brasileira, nascida e criada na Cidade Maravilhosa (Rio de Janeiro), mas ano passado decidi me aventurar pelo continente europeu.

Sou uma pessoa apaixonada pelas artes, poderia ficar horas conversando sobre cinema, música ou literatura. Cresci numa família de artistas, ouvindo meu pai tocar MPB (Música Popular Brasileira) o dia inteiro e minha mãe contando suas histórias da época do teatro com essas influências entrei muito cedo no teatro e me tornei uma pessoa comunicativa e acessível. Gosto de conversar, sair para dançar, beber vinho ou cerveja e de me aventurar em novas experiências e estou muito ansiosa pra ver o que a Europa tem para me oferecer.

Hi, my name is Beatriz, but you can call me Bia. I am 21 years old, I study journalism at a college in Portalegre, the main city of Alto Alentejo in Portugal. I am Brazilian, born and raised in Cidade Maravilhosa, but last year I've decided to go on a adventure in the European continent. I am very passionated about arts, I could literally spend hours talking about movies, music or literature. I grew up in a family of artists, listening to my father playing MPB (Brazilian popular music) all day and my mother telling her stories about the theater, with these influences, I joined theater very early and became a communicative and accessible person. I like to talk, to go out to dance, I love drinking wine or beer, and to jump into new experiences and I am very excited to see what Europe has to offer me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Eu sempre gostei muito de viajar e de conhecer pessoas novas. Gosto de mudanças porque a minha família sempre se mudou muito e eu acabei me adaptando a essa "falta de rotina" e hoje em dia amo viver o desconhecido. Estou no Couchsurfing porque percebi que aqui era a melhor maneira de conhecer pessoas novas e aprender sobre culturas diferentes com nativos e não apenas com aqueles que compartilham de meus interesses, mas também com os que podem me ensinar coisas diferentes.

I have always enjoyed traveling and meeting new people, I like to change, my family moved a lot when I was younger and I have adapted to this "lack of routine" and nowadays I love to experience the unknown. I'm in Couchsurfing because I realized that here was the best way of getting to know new people and learn about new cultures with the natives and not only those who share my interests and passions but also people who will teach me new things.

Gosto de literalmente todos os estilos de música, do rock ao samba e de Britney Spears à Frank Sinatra e a música portuguesa tem ganhado meu coração também. Ultimamente tenho ouvido muito Jamie Cullum e John Mayer. Gosto muito de livros e filmes de romance e ficção científica, meus favoritos são Orgulho e Preconceito, Não me abandone jamais e Harry Potter.

I literally like all styles of music, from rock to samba and from Britney Spears to Frank Sinatra (Portuguese music has won a place in my heart too). Lately I'm listening a lot of Jamie Cullum and John Mayer. I love books and movies about romance and science fiction, my favorites are Pride and Prejudice, Never Let me go me and Harry Potter.
