About Me

I love learning whether it’s new people, new cultures, or new languages.

I’ve always wanted to see the world the way Anthony Bourdain saw it and experienced it and I believe all of us Wanderlusts could relate to his quote:
“ Travel isn’t always pretty. It isn’t always comfortable. Sometimes it hurts, it even breaks your heart. But that’s okay. The journey changes you; it should change you. It leaves marks on your memory, on your consciousness, on your heart, and on your body. You take something with you. Hopefully, you leave something good behind.” – Anthony Bourdain

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travel according to Goethe is where we can find the missing ingredient of our maturity. The outer journey helps one with their inner journey.

Couchsurfing offers an authentic way of truly seeing a city because it allows me to connect with the locals and see a new place through their lens. It’s a cultural/food/experience exchange that will expand my horizon.

I don’t believe that traveling needs to be only physically done through airplanes and miles of distance, sometimes it’s a conversation between two people that allows us to travel to another continent through words and laughter.

P.s: I love photography and specially my Polaroid camera and hope to take one Polaroid with my hosts and surfers to mark the memory of our experience!

Music, Movies, and Books

The music I listen to depends on my mood, some days I need alternative, indie music specially on road trips and other days I want some old rock. I also love Latino music because I love Latino dance!
So artists like Ben Howard, Mumford&Sons, Passenger, Michael Buble, Angus and Julia Stone.

I don’t know where I would be without movies and books because I feel like i travel through them as well. I love movies like Good will hunting, Into the wild, before sunrise, 7 pounds,
Some of my favorite books are a Man’s Search for meaning, Mastery of love, Prisoners of Geography, anything by Khalid Hosseni( author of Kite runner) .

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So far finding out about Couchsurfing and all the awesome new people and experiences I’ll be making!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to have good conversations about a wide range of topics from psychology to politics to neuroscience. It’s really not that hard to get me interested in something if someone is passionate about it.
I believe we humans learn a lot through story telling that’s why we read and watch movies and get inspired by people’s stories so I hope to get enlightened from the people I meet and hopefully they’ll be enlightened too.
