About Me

Hi there!

This is always a tricky one... well what can I say. I truly love traveling but what I love the most it's meeting new people from different backgrounds. I'm a teacher and maybe because of that... my mantra it's: you never stop learning so that's why I like Couchsurfing because you get to spend some time with local people, chatting about anything and always learning something new.
In case you are wondering, I am a Primary school teacher that arrived in Ireland in 2013 (OMG... time flies ). I was teaching autistic kids in the best little school in Ireland but in 2021 due to marvelous COVID life restrictions ... I moved back home. Honestly, I feel as irish as spanish after spending all my adult life there and I miss it badly.
I like music, I played the saxophone for 10 years. I like meeting my friends, photography, gardening, dancing, going out, yoga, hiking... and I love love love motorbikes.
People say about me that I'm patient, honest, calm, flexible, open-minded, chatty, curious... I feel selfish right now saying this kind of thing about myself...
Well... I think that's a bit of info if you have any questions just ask me. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started using Couchsurfing a few years ago with my exboyfriend. I will leave the link of our shared-account so you can check the feedback.

I have to say that I was a bit weary at the beginning about the idea but I quickly changed my mind, I loved hosting people and going to someone's house, in both ways I had wonderful experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have to say... I'm terrible to remember this kind of things...
I love all types of music (rock, dance, latin music, jazz, soul, R&B, classic.... ) it depends on the day.
For a personal reason, I like 'Seven Pounds'. My favorite actors are Morgan Freeman and Clint Eastwood.
About books, The Pillars of Earth, Dibs, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime... I wish I had a better memory to tell you about this stuff.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Get out of my comfort zone to build my own life.
I left home when I was 23 to go to Menorca (it's an island in Spain far from where I come from) to look for a job and all that stuff. Turned out that when I was there I got a grant to do an internship in Ireland for 2 months so off I went alone to a country which language I was bearly speaking. As you can guess... two months became eight years! Loads of things happening in between that I could chat to you if we meet some day, but I'm really proud of myself for being able to force myself to develop in so many ways, to fully learn English, to fight for what I wanted to do, for who I wanted to be. Now I just have to figure out what to do next!! I not planning to live in Spain forever either so...

**PS: Iguazu waterfalls (Argentina/Brazil) + Gran Canyon (USA) left me in shock.

Teach, Learn, Share

As I said before I love learning new things about anything. I also love arts and crafts (you could see me acting like a builder one day, painter another one, mechanic, artist, gardening... ) My new hobbie is learning how to make eco detergent/candles, soap and so on. I love trying new things and doing things by myself so I would love listening to you talking and showing me any of your interests. I love chatting about the places you have been and about where I've been.
