\ WINTER 2023 - TOWARDS THE NORTHERN LIGHTS ! /
From 26/12/23, I'm currently traveling with Maïa, my wife, in Scandinavia.

As we are travelling by train, we are stopping in several place on the way.

Some information about us :

We are from Brittany (France), and we used to "couchsurf" around the world.

In 2022, we went to Portugal hitchhiking and hitch-sailing.

Previously, we've been in a long trip around the world, from September 2019 to July 2020 :
From Brittany (France), we were going through Lille, Anvers, Halifax (CA), then Canada, USA, Bahamas, Dominican Republic, British Virgin Island... hitchhiking on cars and boats.
Then, as the world situation became complicated, we went back to Europe... Sailing during 30 days non-stop as crew members!

As hosting is a part of the spirit, visitors are welcome to our house in Nantes. Our accommodation is on a famous cycle route (Loire à Vélo), so we mainly host cyclists via "Warm shower".

We are easygoing and open-minded, curious about how other people see and experience the world.

I would be honored to spend some time with you, share travel stories or cooking!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet people from the city we are visiting : we think it's the best way to discover the world !
We like to spend some time without money related expectations. Just live the moment, share great discussion and funny joke and help our host as much as we can (DIY, cleaning, cooking...).

As hosts, when we were in France, we host people by another website (warmshower), and we like to guide visitors in the city, cook them some meal and play board games !

We love music ! All music. We are huge metal and extrem music fans, but we also love spending hours singing walt disney songs and discover local music when we are travelling.

Maïa is a huge Harry Potter fan and she has a beautiful voice.
François is more likely into video games, climbing and sailing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Cross Canada in a camper van with a cat.
Cross the Atlantic Ocean in a container ship. And then again on the way back but on a 16m sailing boat.
Axe throwing in Montréal.
Hitchhike in a truck with an amazing Ukrainian driver.
Spend New Year's Eve in the Amazonian forest.
Start a brewery from scratch with 2 friends.
Be stucked in Sweden for 5 days with -40°C !

Teach, Learn, Share

We love to cook, vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals. We could teach you some recipes !
Furthermore, we also try to reduce our impact on the environment, so we can help you to do the same. Some easy steps and little advices that could make the difference in everyday life and travels :D
