About Me

Hey there, I'm Quang Minh! I'm a Psychology & Social Studies student with over 3 years of experience in Marketing & Project Management. I have a passion for volunteering, traveling, and free writing. I am a strong believer in the "Pay It Forward" and "Carpe Diem" spirits, and I'm always looking for ways to make a positive impact in the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me, Couchsurfing is more than just a platform to find a place to stay while traveling. It's an opportunity to connect with people from different parts of the world, learn about their cultures, and create meaningful and lasting friendships.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitchhiking around Macedonia alone

Armed with nothing but a smile and a cardboard sign, I started my journey from Skopje and made my way through the picturesque landscapes of Macedonia.

As I stood by the side of the road, I couldn't help but feel a little nervous about my decision to hitchhike alone. But those fears were quickly put to rest as friendly locals stopped to pick me up and offer me a ride to my next destination. I met so many amazing people along the way, each with their own stories and experiences to share.

One of the highlights of my trip was when I was picked up by a couple who took me to their home in a small village. They welcomed me with open arms and treated me to a delicious traditional Macedonian meal. We shared stories and laughter over dinner, and I felt like I was part of their family.

Throughout my journey, I was struck by the incredible hospitality and kindness of the Macedonian people. Despite the language barrier, everyone I met went out of their way to make sure I was safe and comfortable.

As I reflect on my hitchhiking experience, I realize that it was about so much more than just getting from one place to another. It was a journey of self-discovery and a reminder of the goodness that exists in the world. I learned that sometimes it's the unexpected experiences and encounters that make the best memories.

Teach, Learn, Share

As a Psychology & Social Studies student with a background in marketing, project management, and social entrepreneurship, I bring a unique perspective to the Couchsurfing community. I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and skills with others and learning from people from all walks of life.

If being hosted, I would be happy to facilitate workshops on topics such as personal branding, reflection and communication, as well as share my experiences in project management. I am also fluent in English and Vietnamese and would be happy to help you practice either language.

In return, I am always eager to learn from others and explore different cultures. Whether it's trying new foods, learning new languages, or hearing about your travel experiences, I believe that we can all learn from each other and grow as individuals.

What I Can Share with Hosts

1. A respectful, friendly and open-minded attitude: I'm always happy to chat, share stories, and learn from new people. Whether it's over a cup of coffee or while exploring the city together, I believe that meeting new people is one of the most rewarding aspects of travel.

2. Language practice: I'm fluent in both English and Vietnamese, so if you're interested in practicing either language, I'm happy to help!

3. Cultural exchange: I'm passionate about learning about different cultures and sharing my own. Whether it's through sharing a traditional Vietnamese meal or learning about your country's customs and traditions, I'm eager to learn from you and share my own experiences.
