Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really enjoy meeting locals and travelling. I believe we are all able to share a lot on culture, exchange beliefs, points of view, cuisine, music and etc. Spending time talking, travelling and sharing, for me, is the strongest resistance we have to our society nowadays. That’s why I’m here.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love popular Brazilian music: from mpb song by Elis Regina, Luedji Luna, Maria Bethânia, Caetano Veloso; to coco and Maracatu. I really enjoy Mazuca da Quixaba, a coco band (you can find it on soundcloud). I do enjoy other types as well, bands like Pink Floyd, Queen, The Beatles. I do like a lot Mercedes Sosa and Violeta Parra. Shortly, I am open-minded when it comes to music, whereas I tend to like more popular rhythms that come from the streets. About books, I’m currently reading Cien Años de Soledad. I love reading and watching movies, so both are topics I enjoy sharing recommendations and opinions! I’ve done my Masters on Frida Kahlo’s life, which was really interesting! So if you are open to talk about history and art, I would be happy to share thoughts on it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once, I was doing rappelling in a huge whole on the earth, where loads of macaws live. After descending the hope, we were hiking to a small cave and then we saw a huge snake having her breakfast. It was trilling. Also, when I was getting to a cave in Serra do Roncador, a puma left from inside the cave and ran right beside us.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to cook vegan food; how to camp and adventure yourself; I am learning how to surf and I’m keen to empower women to join me on trying this challenging sport; I can teach a bit of Alfaia, a drum from Maracatu. I also teach Portuguese. I can share high levels of laughing and reflexive thoughts on politics, daily philosophy and arts.
