Hiii, I'm Yavuz Selim and I'm an undergraduate student studying Western Literature and Philosophy. Currently, I'm an exchange student in the Amsterdam University College and I'm trying to travel throughout Europe as much as possible during my stay here.
I am a bass player and singer in my band, and I also write songs, poetry, and short stories. I have an easygoing nature and I try to be polite to everyone, so I believe I will get along well with everyone I meet through Couchsurfing.

I love seeing new places, meeting new people, and having meaningful conversations with them. As a liberal arts major, I have a passion for making and experiencing art, and I love visiting art galleries and museums. My mother is a history teacher and I have lived in places with rich histories all my life, so I highly appreciate historical places, and I specifically try to visit places of historical significance.

I love classic, psychedelic, and progressive rock like the Beatles, Pink Floyd and Jimi Hendrix,
I enjoy listening to Jazz, Blues, and Rock n Roll as well like Dizzy Gillespie, Charles Mingus, Cream, and Elvis Presley.
My favorite book is the Idiot by Dostoyevsky and I love almost anything by Tolstoy and Dostoyevsky. I also love the English Romantic poets.
I enjoy watching movies with good plots and well constructed themes.
