Why I’m on Couchsurfing

WHAT I THINK ABOUT CS...

I didn't know about couchsurfing and I'm a very new member of this community. But I really think this is an amazing way to know great people around the world.

With couchsurfing you have the opportunity to visit a city with a local, which is great for you specially if it's your first time there. For me, it has been a lot easier to visit different places and moving around the cities I have visited.

If you visit the profiles you can see if the people really matches with you and your expectations. But you have to be patient and read carefully. I think, it depends on your own purposes the kind of people you will find.

WHY I USE CS...

The most incredible thing is definitely the people you can meet through couchsurfing. Not only people that kindly offer you a place to stay, but also the people that want to hangout with you and show you their city.

Fortunately for me, I've had very incredible experiences using couchsurfing so far.

I think a very important point is to agree about the expectations of the experience. Whether you want to host someone or you want someone to host you.

MY EXPECTATIONS...

I'm a very young girl and I've been traveling alone so far. So...

1. I won't get drunk, I can drink a glass of wine or a couple of beers with you or/and your friends but I know my limits. So, if you're looking for someone who drinks a lot I'm not that person. Also, I don't have driven license so I cannot take you home if you want to get drunk.

2. I'm ok with sharing room but NOT BED, I need my own place to sleep. During my staying with hosts I have also slept on sofa beds or sofas, and I have no problem with it. I know you're not running a hostel but I just need my own place to sleep. If you read my profile, the place I offer is a private room because I know people need some privacy.

3. I really like meeting new people and that means time together. If you don't really have time to spend with someone new please don't write me. I know you're busy and have job/things to do and I try to be very respectful with your time but I'm not asking you to be with me 24/7 I think we can agree so we both enjoy the experience.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW...

I don't live in Helsinki, I live in a small city called Vaasa. It's about 4hrs to Helsinki, but if you have enough time we can spend the day there (not the night since I don't have any place to stay there).

I like to enjoy the simple things in life. A long walk through the city, to drink a beer while seeing the sunset, to watch Netflix, sharing a good glass of wine with friends, having fun with new people, sharing stories, cooking Mexican food.

I can either dance all night or enjoy a nice dinner while talking about life. I am young and open-minded person. I always try to really get to know the people and I love to talk about my country and culture. I just enjoy the life and the person with who I am the moment.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did ice swimming in Finland in winter (believe me, for a latin it's no easy to be that level of cold!).
