I have recently relocated back to N Ireland after 30 years of living and working away (mostly in England with some international work placements). I currently work as a University Lecturer and have previously worked in International Marketing for several multinational companies.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people to socialise with both at home and on trips overseas. I am not currently offering to host overnight stays as my house is being renovated but am hoping that this situation will change in the near future!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Fifteen years ago I was diagnosed with severe M.E./Lyme Disease and advised that I would be wheelchair bound and unable to work ever again. With huge effort and struggle over the next 8 years I regained my health (to probably 80% of what I had before) and now run my own successful (in relative terms) business. One goal that kept me focused during those dark days was to be able to travel and dance again (I now dance salsa, jive, foxtrot and waltz).
