My name is Marlene, I'm 23 years old and have lived all my life in my home city Berlin. Currently I am studying nature conservation and landscape use in a small city that is close to Berlin.
I traveled in the Middle East and the Balkans for longer time. Actually I can not get enough of the Balkan countries. I totally fell in love with the incredible landscape and the honest hospitality of the people!
I have been doing volunteering during my travelling. I really like it because it is a good way to spend a longer time in one place, get into the culture and to meet people with a similar mindset as mine.
I enjoy Couchsurfing a lot as well. I had sich great times with some hosts and made super special memories!

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Since I am a Berlin kid I am absolutely into techno music and love to go out and dance.
But I enjoy other types of music as well and I‘m always open for new good tracks.:)

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

During my summer vacations i used to work on a horse stables. Together with the owner and friends we were rescuing horses and a donkey from the slaughterhouse. Now they are living their happy and hopefully long life in our stables.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I was doing an internship in the company that is responsible for street-cleaning and waste disposal in Berlin. I learned a lot about marketing and environmental education. We are trying to sensitise children as well as grown up people to environmental issues.
I am really into nature protection and enjoy to exchange ideas about it. Also politics are interesting for me.
I just love to get to know new people in different places because we can always learn from each other!
