Overview
About Me
My name is Weh’yee, and I’m on a journey to discover how to use my talents and abilities to best help the world :)
I’ve been a high school English teacher in the United States, worked at a social media company in New York City, and helped my community through electronic recycling in San Francisco, California. Now I’m traveling the world to discover my roots and to learn more about my purpose in life :)
Since traveling I've:
• Worked at an English learning school in North Africa
• Lived with a nomadic Berber family in the Sahara desert doing agriculture and animal care
• Worked at a bustling hostel in the south of Spain where I led bar crawls, free walking tours, cooked dinner for up to forty people, and socialized with guests
I'm really excited about discovering new people and places on my journey. In my opinion, the joy of traveling is in getting a local perspective while at the same time having the opportunity to share your own background and culture through service.
Can't wait to connect with you, and look forward to helping out any way that I can!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
People, that's why I'm here. I haven't been traveling long, but I discovered very quickly that the best part of traveling is meeting, connecting with, and build great relationships with people from all over the world.
I'm here to do that. I want to share my experiences, while also learning from the experiences of others.
Interests
There’s way too many to list, but to summarize: Really interested in having philosophical and spiritual experiences that challenge my world view.
Those experiences can be anything from a random conversation over a beer, to learning how to cook a new meal, to a hug goodbye from a new friend. I’m really open minded (:

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Backpack through North India for a summer during college. It was probably the most amazing experience of my life thus far, and is the genesis of my current back packing trip!
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: English (I used to teach English to native speakers), Technology (hardware), Business & Startups (worked in the industry the past six years)
Learn: Farming, new recipes, how to swim better, and a language!
Share: My experiences and perspective of the world ❤️ I also love cooking for other people, even though I am still learning. I think the biggest thing I can share is what I've learned from all of my past experiences.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I’m really into unique experiences and connections. I hope to be able to share some of what has brought me to where I am in life and build awesome connections at the same time :)
Also happy to help out with whatever is needed in and around your space in any way that I can (cleaning, cooking, grocery shopping, small tasks, etc.)
