About Me
Hello everyone !
I'm Heloise, I'm 24 years old. I lived in Guadeloupe until my 15 years (2010) where I moved without stopping (as a result it is difficult to say what is my hometown!). Then, I lived in metropolitan France for 8 years for studies (high school and higher studies), I lived in La Rochelle and Gagny (Paris region). And finally, studies completed, I returned to Guadeloupe last November (2018) to see a little bit family before leaving to discover the world! And much of this journey, I shared it with my darling I've known for a long time.
Our objective ? To travel without attachment (even if our company will always be based in Guadeloupe, it is necessary to have a little money to eat and for accomodation!) and without limit of time. If one day we find a country we particularly like then we will live there ;)
Professionally I have the status of French micro-entrepreneur since October 2018 in web development. I am also trying to edit my first youth book that I finished writing not long ago (end of March 2019!).
My projects ? Discover different cultures, contribute to a better world on my scale, open my mind, help others, live in the joy of the present moment.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
With my partner (who is also Guadeloupean) we seek to discover in all simplicity the countries we have chosen to visit. Sharing our culture by discovering that of others is how we imagine our travels. Luxury hotels? Not for us! We wish to discover the inhabitants, their culture, their habits.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite kinds of music: dancehall (Jamaica, french overseas territories), Brazilian funk, reggae, a little rap. I am not unrecepetive to other genres ;)
My book styles: Children's books (which inspire me for my own stories!), personal development books (Miranda Gray has changed my outlook on life!), novels of all kinds when I have the time.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My "congé solidaire" (litterally "solidarity leave") in an Ecuadorian reserve in the Amazon rainforest of September 2018! It was the first time ever I set foot in South America (and in America anyway, apart from the Caribbean). I benefited from it thanks to my company where I made apprenticeship and the NGO Planète Urgence. The foundation that deals with this reserve is doing an extraordinary job for the preservation of the forest, besides if you wish to support them so that they can extend the reserve it is here: https://www.helloasso.com/associations/fondation-sumac-muyu/collectes/agrandir-une-reserve-biologique-en-amazonie-equatorienne-1
