Hi to everyone who reads this. I'm a student at the EPFL in Lausanne, Switzerland and at the moment I'm doing my bachelor. Travelling is something that fascinates me and one of the most important things for me in life. Other important things are all kinds of sports, mainly track&field, skiing and football, food (preparing and eating), drinking beer with friends and have a good discussion and everything that has to do with nature. Also music is a very important part of me, recently more the listening part than the doing part. If there is time left (there is always some time left) I also like to watch series and films or to play video games. So as you see I have various passions but I'm not as busy as it seems now. I also like to hang out and do not much. Maybe something about my personality: At first contact I might seem a little bit shy, but often this attitude changes and I get very socially. I would also describe myself as open-minded and interested, but sometimes not very creativ, for example if it comes to a description about myself...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here of course to find something to sleep overnight, that is cheap because as a student you never have a lot of money left. But one of the most important things about couchsurfing is also to meet new people of another country or culture and to exchange experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

Really hard to say, there are so many I like. I try to list some of them...
Music: Linkin Park, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Wombats, Nothing but Thieves, Arctic Monkeys, a lot of Swiss and German Hip-Hop and German rock/punk which you might not know. So my main genres are alternative rock, indie and hip-hop if you want to generalize it.
Films: Lord of the Rings (huge fan), Star Wars, Matrix, Pulp Fiction, The big Lebowski, Inception and many more. Actually I like films where you sit there afterwards and you still think a lot about what you just saw. I also like films which are not known by everyone. For me also the setting of a film is very important.
Books: Lord of the Rings, German and Swiss literature (Hermann Hesse, Lukas Bärfuss etc)
Series: Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Peaky Blinders and many more. I just listed the most well knowns.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

For me the most exciting and also most amazing thing I did so far was probably my journey on Cuba. It was really interesting to get to know this special country. The people and the culture as well as the nature. The most astonishing thing about it was to see how different the economy can work compared with what we are used to and how this affects people's every day life and also their thinking. It's just unbelievable how different a place on earth can be compared to others.
