Hi how's it going, I am new to Australia and am currently spending the semester here studying in Melbourne. I am new to Couch Surfing, but have heard that this is a great way to meet locals and get a better understanding of the local culture. I am from New York, just outside NYC and look forward to exploring Australia. I am willing to help in any way with accommodation and more than willing to provide food, help cook and clean up. I also studying Urban Planning in New York and appreciate talking about public transportation and Urbanism.

I heard couchsurfing was a great way to meet locals. Being from out of the country I don't know any Australians, so I feel that this would be a great way to meet locals and get a better view of Australia from locals.
