Egon (my boyfriend) and I are currently travelling the world together for over a year! We started out in South-East Asia, then moved to Australia where we are doing the famous 'big lap' with our 4WD and rooftop tent.

We love to experience the local culture and explore nature! :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We would love to meet locals and expats around the world during our world trip! The experience is much more authentic and real than sleeping in a hotel or hostel.

Music, Movies, and Books

We love music! We listen to a lot of different music. When going out in Belgium, we love techno (Paula Temple/Rebekah/Dax J), but we can also enjoy a classical concert just as much (Olafur Arnalds/Keaton Henson). Always open for new things to try! We love to go to festivals during summer (Belgium has many).

We love any movie produced by Wes Anderson! Fantastic Mr Fox is our favorite, but the most recent one Wild Dogs has amazing music (in our opinion)! :-)

I do bikram yoga in a local studio back home in Ghent. I sing in the choir of Ghent University, which is so much fun! I volunteer in the cat adoption café in Ghent every week, I love cats! Egon plays basketball and follows NBA ;-)

We love reading books. Egon reads almost everything, I am very fond of thriller and detective novels. Fantasy (Game of Thrones, Harry Potter) are our favorites! We exchange our books on the way when we travel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just leaving Belgium behind after obtaining my PhD and now world travelling together with Egon! Dream come true :-)

We have had many amazing adventures on our 14 months so far, so lots of things to talk about!
