About Me
Hello! We're Paula and Ian, a travel-happy couple documenting our adventures 📸
Paula - I was born and raised in Canada. I'm a freelance writer, marketer and communicator; I work with large companies, small businesses and entrepreneurs on their communications needs. I love meeting people and making new friends!
Ian - I was born and raised in Chile. I'm a drone operator and filmmaker; I launched a regional travel magazine (check out some past issues - https://issuu.com/revistapapagayo) and am currently working on a North American travel documentary.
We met last year and realized we share a passion for travel. We've been together in Canada ever since, exploring and making beautiful memories ❤
Our goal is to document the world together, and that's where you come in! We'd love to stay with you, get to know your city and add that experience to our adventure. We're friendly, clean and we'll pitch in on housework. We both love to cook, so expect a delicious meal or two :)
For us, the best part of traveling is getting to know the heart and culture of a place through local company, authentic food and beautiful sights! We look forward to visiting you soon!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We're here to exchange cultural perspectives and connect with people while exploring new places 🌎 We want to document our travels and immortalize these moments ❤
Plus, we want you to visit us too! Both of our families are from a small coastal town called Quintero in the Valparaiso Region of Chile. Ian's family has a rustic, ocean-front cabin available for travelers. It has a deck, a beautiful view of the town (and of Viña del Mar's lights at night), a private mini beach and a newly-planted garden.
Check out this video of the town and surrounding area (shot by Ian):

Fun fact: Quintero was the very first sea port in the entire country!
We hope you'll come visit our small-town gem :)
