Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Im about to hitchhike europe with as little money as possible, so CS is a practical solution, but more than that I want to meet people and have the kind of unexpected connections and experiences that you cannot find in a hotel!

Interests

I'm a person of very diverse interests. I love to read, to play games, to talk with people on any topic, but particularly if I can learn something. Above all I love to learn new things and I'm always looking for chances to do it.
My forte is the sciences, particularly biology, which has been my academic focus and basis of a career in teaching.
Currently my biggest focus is on mindfulness, meditation and developing a healthy, open mind.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all genres of music. Its a cliche I know but everything from rap and hip hop to indie pop to classic rock works for me. Beyond the obvious thiugh I like wierd, inventive stuff like 8-bit, electroswing, or post-step.

For books i go back and forth between educational non fiction about politics, history, philosphy etc., and fiction, particularly fantasy and sci fi.

Im a big movie fan, and I love the craft behind it. Right now nothing beats the marvel films!

I'm a science teacher and dabbler in every topic under the Sun, so im always happy to share my understanding with others.
Im keen to learn new languages, as all i have right now is my native english, and a paltry amount of french and german.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook pretty well, have a fair singing voice, and beyond that im always happy to pitch in when im a guest, be that cleaning, tidying, helping with whatever you need.
