Hi I'm Cassie (even though my name is Kerstin, I usually go by Cassie). I'm 19 years old and currently as an Au Pair in Canada. I was born in a small town in Germany and lived there my whole life until I decided to do a gap year here in Canada. Thanks to being an Au Pair I'm able to travel to countries I've never been to before! I am able to travel with friends, see and learn different cultures which makes me incredibly happy! In my free time I either read, draw, write or travel. Unfortunately I'm the most unmusical person on this earth, which doesn't stop me from "screaming" lyrics from the top of my lungs.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couch surfing is a great way to experience a country/city. In a hotel you usually live in an isolated tourist bubble, which doesn't let you actually experience the life in the City/Country your visiting! I'm interested in getting to know new cultures and hopefully making new friends.

Uh, that's hard to choose! My music taste is quite strange (as I'm being told), because I basically listen to everything depending on my mood. But all time favorites are Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes, Eminem, KIZ (german rap trio), 5 seconds of summer, Green Day, One Direction (as a group and separately), James Blunt, etc...
Favourite Movies are War Horse, the fault in our Stars, Frozen (thanks to my hostkids), Harry Potter and the prisoner of azkaban, etc.
Favourite books are the Harry Potter Series (duh), me before you (all three parts), the mortal instrument series (even though I haven't finished book one yet), the fault in our stars, anything from Kerstin Gier (not just because we basically have the same name + initials), and many more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- I was on Shawn Mendes Concert in Vancouver (😍)
- I watched a Canadian hockey game

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some German (whether language or cuisine doesn't matter). My biggest hobby is writing fiction and drawing (even if I actually suck at both), so if you want a nice but honest 2nd opinion on one if those, feel free to ask me.
I love to learn languages and foreign dishes! I could also need to learn to be more patient and calm.
I can share my surprisingly good cooking and baking skills!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook and bake, I learned a few foreign recipes and I'm really familiar with the European cuisine.
I have a lot of stories to tell about my traveling.
