About Me
Hello people! I will do my best trying to describe myself here on CS, but I would much rather discuss with you in person than through words on a screen (too many limitations in this virtual world)! I'm a very curious person who always wants to learn about different cultures, languages and people. I'm looking forward to meeting awesome humans from all around the globe on CS and elsewhere during my travels.
_____________
I studied journalism in Montreal and have been working in that field for the past couple years. Amidst my studies and my job, I try to seize every opportunity to go out and explore.
As of January 2024, after a couple months at home, in Montreal, I’m eyeing a short trip in Europe. My living situation is not optimal at the moment, therefore I am unable to host, but I'd love to show you around and get to know fellow travellers. If I’m not too busy with work, that is !
Cheers ✌️
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
In hope to make accointances if not friends, visit cities and countries whilst getting to know locals. I truly believe that there is no better ways to discover a city than in the company of its inhabitants. While travelling in hostels is sure to be fun and enriching, it is a place where travellers meet, thus lacking the unique touch with the locals.
A city is nothing without the souls making it alive !
Interests
As a cycling fan, I dream of discovering the many countries and cities of the world on two wheels!

- music festivals
- reading

Music, Movies, and Books
Well I guess I'll just list a few of the artworks I enjoy or have enjoyed!
I enjoy all sorts of music, with my favorite genre probably being progressive rock or hip-hop. Also francophone stuff from France or Quebec.
Selling England by the Pound (Genesis)
Marshall Mathers LP (Eminem)
Si on avait besoin d'une cinquième saison (Harmonium)
Des visages des figures (Noir Désir)
As for books...
The Brothers Karamazov (Dostoïevski)
The Kite Runner (Khaled Hosseini)
Le nez qui voque (Réjean Ducharme)
The Metamorphosis (Kafka)
Brave New World (Aldous Huxley)
The Walk (Stephen King)
Also generally a big fantasy / sci-fi lover (Isaac Asimov, Philip K. Dick, Orwell)
While I do appreciate movies, I wouldn't consider myself as a cinephile so I'll pass there. However, I do really enjoy lighter, funny TV shows such as The Office or Friends!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Visiting Peru and living amongst locals for nearly a month was definitely one of the most enjoyable thing I have ever done. It is during that trip that I realized how valuable was the contact of locals. There also originated my desire to meet the people living in the places I get the chance to visit!!!!
Hitchhiking through Europe, dumpster diving and meeting awesome people through CS — and… through life, duh — was an outstanding time.
Backpacking through Central and South America in an attempt, amongst other things, to learn Spanish, was also bonkers and so much fun !
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach me anything, and I will be more than happy! I'm always pleased to learn about virtually anything, especially if it is something that you are truly passionnate about.
I hope I can share with people my love for my homeland of Quebec. I also love discussing a variety of subjects ranging from pure and applied science to history and passing through litterature, philosophy and music!
What I Can Share with Hosts
While I don't mind a more independant stay, I sincerely hope we can at the very least share a meal that I'd be more than happy to cook whilst discussing or take a walk through the city! If you have a spare bicycle, the cyclist in me would be pleased (also eternally grateful) to ride with you.
Also, I'm always happy to lend out a helping hand when it comes to chores / manual labor / pretty much whatever! :)
