Music, Movies, and Books

I am a huge fan of rock music but generally I listen to songs of any genre that seem interesting to me. I especially enjoy listening to these buddies: Muse, Imagine Dragons, Ed Sheeran, Stromae, Fall Out Boy. :)

As for my favourite films, I definitely should name 'The Shutter Island' and 'Inception' (Leonardo DiCaprio is the best!). I also love 'Doctor Who' series with all my heart; the same is true for 'Game of Thrones', 'The Boys', 'Sherlock' and 'Sex Education'.

Among the coolest books I've ever read are 'The Martian Chronicles' by Ray Bradbury, 'Lolita' by Vladimir Nabokov, 'The Chronicles of Amber' by Roger Zelazny and 'Solaris' by Stanisław Lem; as for the authors, I highly appreciate Jules Verne and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have spent one night in a desert in Israel, looking at the stars, constellations and planets. At first my friend was there with me, he quietly explained to me what exactly we were looking at but after some time we parted our ways and I ended up alone.
It was a bit strange because as a citizen I was used to the constant noise around me and the desert was completely silent. At first it gave me chills but then I realized that this silence is soothing and eventually I relaxed. Although I was lying on the bare ground with a stone as my pillow I haven't ever felt this comfortable and cozy. As I was observing the sky and the nature, I felt such a strong inspiration to write, to create, to live!
This was a unique experience that I will never forget.

I can tell you a lot about languages, artificial intelligence, and Russian history.
I can also cook you some Russian dishes, trust me, they are delicious! :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

First of all, I can offer you my ears as a listener and my voice as a storyteller. I can sing to you some nice songs (a capella or to the guitar accompaniment), teach you some cool Russian phrases or tell you some interesting things about my country. Being a linguist, I can also share some amazing facts about how this peculiar mechanism called language works :)
