My home is in Southern Connecticut, about an hour and a half train ride to NYC. (I get a lot of requests for staying in the city, so I figured I'd start this with explaining where my home is.)

I'm a passionate person, and I love learning about what makes other people happy as well. I enjoy woodworking, kayaking, hiking, reading, welding, binge watching TV shows, origami, running, biking --- really, whatever your speed is, there's something for you here.

I'm a middle school teacher, which really just means I'm super patient and nothing can hurt my feelings anymore.

Music, Movies, and Books

Huge book nerd. I’m a big fan of magical realism and biographies of presidents.
As for music, I like everything from classical rock to EDM. I’m getting into rap and hip hop and really enjoy the calm indie tune now and again. I’d love to hear what you have to share to enrich my music tastes.
I’m not really big on movies, but in general I like dark comedies.

My cells are CONSTANTLY multiplying. Like all the time. Even when I'm sleeping. It's nuts.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My house is really quite lovely -- right up against the Housatonic River and comes with kayaks and a paddleboard. And a dog and a cat. And chickens. And the chickens come with fresh eggs in the mornings, if you're into the sort of thing.

Guests will have their own small bedroom on the main floor of the house, their own private bathroom with a tub/shower, and have access to shared space. Food is all free to share.
