Hello !

My name is Bing yang : it's like the Ying and the Yang, but with a "B" at the start. This mnemonic trick is the proud achievement of five years spent in Research&Developpment.

I'm a 21 years old engineering student in Paris, and a part-time adventurer ! The overly competitive and superficial environment of my academical and professional journey has led me on a quest to achieve more authentic relationships with people all over the world, and opening myself to new cultures, way of life, and philosophies.

I've started bike packing two years ago, on my own and with my friend Caroline, and those adventures were among the most fulfilling and character building experiences that i've ever had !

Very curious by nature, i'm quite handy around the house : i can fix, clean and maintain things, i also cook a bit so i'll be happy to help whenever i can ^-^

Nb: I have already been infected by covid-19, and serology test done at the end of October shows antibody against covid-19. I am still very cautious and will do a PCR before coming :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Let's address the elephant in the room : as a young student, couchsurfing of course does alleviate travelling expenses. But beyond that, couchsurfing gives me the opportunity to meet marvelous people, understand the local culture and way of life, and discover more than the conventional touristic places and activities.
I believe that traveling is more about the journey than the destination ^-^

Having done volunteering in tutoring for student in underprivileged suburbs of paris, sharing and passing on knowledge is a passion for me.
