Hello! My name is Mirjam but I prefer to be called Miri as all my friends do. I am a twenty years old girl from southern Germany. Currently I'm living in Bournemouth in England because I am volunteering in a charity for a year. My mother tongue is German. I have been learning English for a long time and am also able to seek some basic French. Learning and hearing different languages is something I really enjoy. In my free time I like to spend time with friends, listen to music, read books, play Basketball in a club and travel to see new places. I am a friendly and open minded person who loves to get to know new people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing to see new cities and countries and meet their people in a way that I couldn't on a normal holiday.

Interests

My hobbies include doing sports, especially playing Basketball with my team. I also enjoy skiing and hiking in the mountains as I love being out and enjoying the nature.
Furthermore I love having and making good (vegetarian) food. My favourite cuisines are Indian, Italian and Mexican.
An interest that probably most people on Couchsurfing have in common is traveling and seeing new places. I have been to a few countries in Europe so far but would love to see more of the world.
Another big interest of mine is Harry Potter. I am a fan since I'm a young child and would love to meet fellow potterheads!

Music, Movies, and Books

I always have and still love books. Reading was one of my first ever hobbies and I enjoy it a lot today even though I unfortunately don't get to do it as often anymore. Some of my favourite books include Harry Potter (#potterhead), The Bookthief, The Joker and The fault in our stars.
