Overview
About Me
I am friendly, open minded and I love meeting new people. I am laid back, honest and always up for an adventure!🌻
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I crave to travel more, to live in the places I travel among locals and immerse myself in a town rather than being a tourist and not really getting to know a place or its people.
Interests
I love studying environmental science and development, and am currently still a student in this field.
My main passion is to be able to travel, immerse myself in other cultures, teach and be taught by others.
My camera is an extended part of me, my writing and photos are my prized possessions that capture my favourite memories and friends.
Climbing mountains, swimming under waterfalls, trekking through forests, visiting galleries, drinking beer or gin and tonic.. these are some of my favourite activities.

Music, Movies, and Books
Good music, sci-fi and fantasy books, science literature, movies that move me, podcasts that teach me.
Among my favourite books: The name of the wind, A little life, Hitchhiker's guide to the universe, Harry Potter, Sweet Thursdays.

Teach, Learn, Share
Your words will be listened to and your humanity will be appreciated. I would love to get to know you and let you know me.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can teach you about South African history, literature, places to visit, mountains to climb. I can teach you my home language Afrikaans and make South African food for you and teach you vegan recipes.
We have a partner dance here called "Sokkie" that I can teach you. It is very fun and a big part of Afrikaans culture!
I can debate with you about the future, sustainability, climate change and existentialism.
I can take you on hikes, show you to appreciate the small things in life, and also how small we are.
