About Me

I'm grew up in a small town (village) in North Alabama. However I've moved around the US. I've worked in two National Parks, Yellowstone in Wyoming & Death Valley National Park in California. Recently moved to Los Angeles & have lived there for almost a year & half. & now im traveling Europe visiting friends & dong some international travels on my own in the meantime. I have visited 5 countries in the last three weeks of my travels.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I would like to make the most of my travels. I would like to meet locals & learn more about cultures that I wouldn't have the opportunity to experience with being a common tourist staying in a hotel. And I would also like to give back, so when I return to Los Angeles I would like to host people who are interested in visiting the states. My dream with this is to gather 4 other friends from around the world & road trip the states. Like I said above I live in LA but grew up in Alabama. & that’s a 26 hour drive by car. I’ve done it alone, but would love to share this experience with new friends!

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite music would have to take this whole page to write. I'm a lover of an instrument whether that be a vocal or by a instrumental object. I grew up listening to classical with my mom & just found a natural love for beats, melodies & a nice solid harmony. I began singing in choir at a young age, & that changed my life. I don't have a favorite genre as long as there is a message that I can put into my own prospective I’m sold. When it all comes down to it, music is about perception.

My favorite movie genre would have to be; documentary, comedy & I’m a hopeless romantic so of course horror films lol!

I’m a writer I moved to La to advance my career in art as a whole, so I love a good book my favorite two books are 1984 and The Science of Self Realization. I’m currently reading “Becoming” by Michelle Obama.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I think I've done personally is moving from home & expericening live. I've met some incredible people that I would have never been introduced to without leaving home & im so glad I took that step!

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to learn more about cultures outside the states. A lot of stereotypes of Americans are that we are ignornat to the rest of the world outside our waters. For the most part it is true, so I would like to try to make a difference. We aren't taught in school about the rest of the world as a full focus & I would like to change that for myself, and as well as my family & friends that would like to listen. I'm open to trying new experiences!

What I Can Share with Hosts

The things I would be able to bring to share with my host is great intellectual conversation. As well as perspectives of growing up in small town in the southern region of America and my experiences. Also the difference between small American cites and larger international cities. I can share an open mind & a different American experience that you won't see on television. I'm one of a kind a I wish to share this with people willing to listen. I have a open & willingness to learn on any aspect in life. I strive daily to be the light in the world to show; change, growth, great spirit an open outlook in life!
