Hello! I'm Jiwon Lee from South Korea.
I was born and raised in small city around Seoul, capital of Korea. I studied social work, welfare in university(also in Korea).
After having amazing experiences as a exchange student in Portland, Oregon for 6 month, I have learned and met many diverse people with different cultures. I have really enjoyed meeting new friends and talking since then.
I worked for NGOs for children and North Korean refugees for 2 and half years in Korea. And I came to Denmark to join a volunteer program, went to Malawi. After I came back from Malawi, I am traveling around Europe now.
(That’s why I cannot host guests during this period)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I heard about this platform, I was so surprised! It is super amazing system for travelers and the one who wants to experience many cultures! Also I can improve my English or learning different languages.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like musical movies like Sound of music(I know it is too old and classic) or Greatest show man and the songs as well. I prefer movies with happy mood, which make me relaxed and touched. I’m not a fan of horror and dark mood movies.
As a Korean, Of course I like k-pop music, but I have only little thing about BTS. I know some songs from them though.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to Malawi, Africa as volunteer for 6 month from November 2018-May 2019, this year!
I worked for preschools and communities as a mobilizer in Mzimba, small town in north part of Malawi. I loved to be there and spent much time with the local people.
It would be best experiences I have ever had until now in my life.
