About Me
Hi, my name is Sandra. I'm 25 years old finished my studies in July 2019, which means, time to travel! I'm open to all kinds of experiences and travel stories.
The end of May (2020) I'm making a backpack trip to South-America. I start in Paraguay, and will travel further to Bolivia, Chile for a small part and Peru. I would love to meet a lot of people. I'll be travelling alone so company is always nice :)
In my free time I am a volunteer of Greenpeace in Ghent that I joined in May 2018. Here we do all kinds of activities regarding the environment, because yeah we have to save the planet! It takes lots of organizing and planning to be able to achieve something :)
I also try to spend a great part of my time with my 2 horses. In general, I love to spend time with animals, and my horses are the ones I have the longest and have spent the most time with until now. A visit is always possible if you by chance are interested :-)
Related to that, I eat plantbased a.k.a vegan, just because I love all animals. Compared to a 5 years ago I discovered a whole new world of new kinds of food which I find pretty amazing and am proud of myself for that :) I'd be happy to cook something for you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Last summer my boyfriend and I went to Berlin, hitchiking. I loved travelling like this as it's a great opportunity to meet other people, which gave me the idea to make the whole trip a different experience than usual by meeting even more people via couchsurfing. I have done different kinds of travelling but couchsurfing specifically I hadn't done yet.
The same way I'd like to recive people at our place, show them around in Ghent and have drinks in some of our old, but cozy cafes.
Music, Movies, and Books
You can always invite me for music like Mogli, buena social vista club, Angus and Julia Stone C2C, Alt-J, Eddie Vedder, Jazz etc :-)
At the moment I'm reading The Shadow of the wind (Carlos Ruiz Zafón).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Living abroad for a year in Paraguay, which made me realize many things about myself and others. It made me look at things differently, which then changes one's way of thinking :)
