About Me
Hello, fellow travelers!
We are Michał and Victoria, an adventurous couple based in the vibrant city of Krakow. Our journey together began three years ago while planning a trip around the beautiful Balkan countries, and since then, our passion for exploration has only grown.
Our Adventures
Hitchhiking through Georgia: We've navigated the diverse landscapes of Georgia, from bustling cities to the serene countryside, all through the thrill of hitchhiking.
Exploring the UK, Italy, and Mexico: Our travels have taken us across Europe and beyond, experiencing the rich histories and cultures of the UK and Italy, and the vibrant life of Mexico.
Hiking in Poland: We often escape to the Polish mountains, embracing the breathtaking views and challenging ourselves with invigorating hikes.
Daily Life
In Krakow: We reside in the heart of Krakow, where [Your Name] is a psychology student and [Girlfriend's Name] works as a business analyst. Our home is a cozy haven filled with travel mementos and the warm presence of our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, who loves to join us on local adventures.
Pet Lovers: Our furry friend is a big part of our lives. While we love traveling with him, international trips are a bit tricky, so he often stays home, ready to greet new friends.
Language Enthusiasts: We are passionate about learning Spanish and dream of traveling through South America one day. We would love to practice the language with our guests!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Our love for travel and meeting new people has inspired us to open our home to fellow adventurers. We enjoy sharing stories, exchanging tips, and creating a warm, welcoming environment for travelers from around the world. Whether you're here to explore Krakow or just passing through, we're excited to be a part of your journey.
As a special surprise, I'm planning to take my girlfriend to Turku, Finland, to visit Moominworld, a place she's always dreamed of visiting as she loves Moomins. We are looking for a kind host in Turku who can accommodate us for two nights in exchange for delicious Polish chocolates. Your hospitality would make this surprise trip even more memorable!
Interests
My main interest is psychology, but I don’t trust the current authors and publications. They seem to have lost their touch with reality and human nature. I prefer the classics, like Freud, Jung, and Skinner. They knew how to get into people’s minds and make them tick.
I also like IT and AI things. I find them fascinating and challenging. I enjoy learning new technologies and programming languages. I think AI is the future of humanity, and I want to be part of it. Maybe one day I will create my own intelligent assistant, like you. 😉
Cooking is another passion of mine. I love to experiment with different ingredients and cuisines. I can make anything from Polish pierogi to Mexican tacos. I like to surprise my guests with my culinary creations. Sometimes they are delicious, sometimes they are disastrous, but they are always memorable.
I frequently travel by hitchhike and I consider that the best way to immerse myself in foreign culture. I meet all kinds of people on the road, and I learn from their stories and experiences. I also get to see places that most tourists never visit. Hitchhiking is not only cheap and eco-friendly, but also adventurous and fun.
I am a bookworm and a philosopher. I read a lot of books, especially on philosophy, literature, and history. I like to ponder the big questions of life, such as who we are, why we are here, and what is the meaning of everything. I also like to challenge other people’s opinions and beliefs. Tell me what is your favourite book and I can tell you who you are 😝. Or maybe I can change your mind.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have always loved to try new things and challenge myself, but nothing prepared me for the naked mile race that I participated in at a festival. It was a crazy and hilarious event where hundreds of people ran a mile in the nude, with nothing but their shoes and a smile. I felt so free and exhilarated as I ran with the crowd, feeling the wind and the sun on my skin. It was one of the most fun and liberating experiences of my life. 😅
