My name is August and im an 18 year old travel enthusiast. I’ve loved traveling Europe since I started, however I always found myself looking like a tourist or spending to much money on accomodation. This is why I’ve turned to Couchsurfing. Currently me and my best friend are interrailing trough Europe, trying to experience it as the locals do.

To describe myself i would say im driven, funny guy who loves new experiences! I always try to make every situation in my life better for me but most importantly for the people around me. I’ve worked in the restaurant business my whole worklife and I love it! I love football and music and obviously travel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Im on Couchsurfing to travel and experience Europe as close to as the locals do, as possible. I also love meeting new people and I hope Couchsurfing is a way to do that.

Interests

My interests are many. They include everything from Film Making to Formula 1 Racing. But the gist of it is I love these things because they make me feel excited or happy. My interests are things im eager to learn more about, even when for some of them, learning MORE is getting harder..!

Music, Movies, and Books

Im a bit old fashoined when it comes to music. My favorite artists are The Beatles and Queen. But I also enjoy music from my own generation such as Kendrick, Post Malone and Avicii.

When it comes to movies I love The Hangover franchise, Forrest Gump and the new movie Bohemian Rhapsody about Queen. I also like The Notebook, The Life of Pi and The Wolf of Wallstreet!

Im not a big reader, but my favorite books are Forrest Gump, Slumdog Millionaire and The Hobbit.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I regularly help the old drunk in my building who has forgotten how to enter his own home. One time, I think I might have saved his life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share the many stories from my travels with hosts. Since im going on a month-long trip I think I’ll have a few.

I can also tell my hosts about a country not many people know many things about. My home, Sweden! I always love to compare different cultures and see what the major differences and similarities are.

On top of that I also have a lot of knowledge in music, if you have a piano i’ll play the crap out of it! I know a lot about football, been a fan since I could stand on my own two feet, and since i’ve worked in Restaurants for quite some time I know a fair bit about wines and beers and such!
