My name is Chiara, I am a 18 year old girl from Austria in Europe. I am fluent in English and German, and I am studying Japanese and Latin.
Right now I'm in my last year of high school. I want to start studying elementary education with a focus on education for kids with special needs at college in vienna next year.

My family has hosted several exchange students from all over the world (for example Japan, Indonesia, USA and Thailand) during the last few years.

I went to Pennsylvania/USA as an exchange student in 2017 for half a year.
Now I volunteer for the exchange student organization YFU.

I live in a really small village called Yspertal in Austria. The nature there is beautiful.
I have three younger siblings and a cat.

I think couchsurfing is a great way to get to know new people.

I want to travel to Japan in summer 2020, and I want to really experience it and not only be there as a tourist. I hope I can also help my hosts a litte.

I enjoy playing the violin, and I recently started playing the piano too.

I am part of a christian musical group called "KISI-God's singing Kids". You can Google it or find it on YouTube.

In my free time I often write letters to my friends and pen pals from all over the world. It's great to make new friends and stay in touch.

I am currently taking Japanese cooking classes , so I learn how to cook good food. I enjoy cooking and baking.

As mentioned in my introduction, I want to study to become a teacher for elementary school kids. So, I enjoy teaching.
I also like learning now things, like playing instruments, cooking or learning languages.
I want to be able to share my culture, and I would like to get to know your culture too.
