I'm studying in a university where I'm also a teaching assistant for a business lecture. Also a 3* CMAS Scuba Diver and crazy about scuba diving. I believe I am an easygoing, flexible, friendly and tolerant person. I love talking and having long conversations.

About open-mindedness, I find it a matter of perspective so while some people find an action to be not related to this, some think opposite. For instance I believe I'm open minded about;

What others believe in,
What they do for living,
Where they are from,
What they like doing,
The way they hang out,
The way they eat,
Basically, the way they live.

But hey, I may not force myself the way you do things when we meet, this is not what I receive by open-mindedness. What I mean is I respect the way you do/perceive things, I won't force you out, and if you wanna discuss why I feel different or why I do/perceive things differently, I would be honored to have such conversations not to have an argument but to understand each other better.

So, I still believe I'm an open-minded guy to a certain point but you can just say anything in your profile so I leave you to be the judge.

I don't drink alcohol, don't smoke, don't do drugs and mostly eat vegetarian. But I can still hang out if that doesn't bother you. I am more of a talking, chatting guy instead of a party; so some people may find me boring (:

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My cousin told me about this platform and I liked the idea immediately so I'm here.

Moreover, I would love to meet new fellows from different countries, sharing knowledge and experiences who open their homes with their beatiful hearts.

I would also like to help the ones that are looking for a couch to sleep for their trips regardless of their expectations from me.

I like the events and hangouts feature very much as it is a lot easier than finding hosts, you get to share your time with other people you just meet and they make your trip a lot better.

I like any movies except horror :) love spending time on Netflix.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Many things underwater and in my scuba diving experiences amaze me which I can talk about for days if you are curious.

The one experience standing out is that I got to pet a 1 meter grouper which approached me friendly in a reef. It was so friendly I couldn't help myself but pet it for 3 - 5 minutes then we had to leave because we were in deep so we had to ascend.

I knew I shouldn't touch it but couldn't help it with the thrill. Then learned the reasons later that it will start trusting humans and it will be easily get cought by freedivers thinking they are friendly. Also I heard you can get the mucus on their skin out while petting and they can get infected :(

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach some basic Turkish food, talk about culture, value, my experiences and would like to learn and talk about anything you can share. Sharing any experience, food, room is what makes traveling and life better, you get unforgettable memories by that way. As a (mostly) solo traveler, it gets very important sometimes.

I can also teach scuba diving both theoratically and practically as I have done many times in my university's underwater club when given the time of course :)
