Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because I see it as an good way of offering something to our world, in order to leave it a little bit better than we found it.
I love getting to know people and learning about other cultures.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is a favorite art of mine. I listen almost all kind of music, starting from the classical one where my favorites are Chopin and Bach, passing to Jazz with Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and many more. I like hip-hop too! Reggae! Bohemian or gypsy! And I am in love with the music of my country, of Albania. I can mention here some famous compositions like Shkelzen Doli, Olen Cesari, sopranos like Inva Mula and Ermonela Jaho, jazz singers like Elina Duni. The balads and the epic music is also a magical variation of our folclore.
We are also known for "Isopolifonia" a genre of music protected by UNESCO.

Movies...well there is a lot of them but I may mention: Forrest Gump, Dead Poets Society, Les Intouchables, Le Fabuleux Destin D'Amelie Poulain, A Bronx Tale, Casablanca, Carmen against Carmen, Scar Face, Scent of a Woman, Pan's Labyrinth, The Peaceful Warrior , I am Sam and many many more.
I also like animated movies that I saw as a kid and now as a grown up: Shrek, The Lion King, Tarzan, The book of the Jungle.
I also love albanian old movies in black and white (some titles: Tomka and his friends, The Years of Waiting, The Heart of Mother, 14 years Old Groom, and others)
Books are an old and forever love of mine, I may mention here favorite writers of mine like Dostoyesky, F.S Fitzgerald, Lermontov, Puschkin, Bulgakov, Edgar Allan Poe, Mark Twain, Oscar Wilde, Charlote Bronte, Emily Dickinson, Sylvia Plath, Charles Baudelaire, Victor Hugo, Arthur Rimbaud, Marcel Proust, Mihai Ende ( A Never Ending Story), J.R Tolkien (LOTR), J.K Rowling (Harry Potter).
Also great albanian writers (Names: Martin Camaj, Ernest Koliqi, MIGJENI, Ismail Kadare, Fatos Arapi, Xhevahir Spahiu, Fatos Kongoli).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most beautiful thing I have done up to now is that I decided to work on a Cruise Ship.
The reason I took this decision is because of my love to travel and to discover the world.
It is by far my most unforgettable experience with events and people I will always think about.
It helped me to grow up, it taught me to deal with hard work and it taught me to believe in myself.

In 2019 I worked at Yellowstone National Park, second best thing so far! Working in Wyoming at Yellowstone National Park for 3 months in a Work and Travel Program Exchange for students was such a spiritual experience for me which immersed me so deeply into nature.

Yellowstone it's the first National Park in USA and is a journey of a lifetime!
