Hi, I’m Iga! 26 y.o from Warsaw, Poland.

In 2021, I decided to drop everything I know and travel the world on the budget with my boyfriend (Kamil, also 26). During the pandemic, we backpacked through Mexico for 2 months. We liked this lifestyle so much that we emigrated to Germany to earn money for another trip. After six months, we landed in South America, where we visited Colombia, Peru, Bolivia and touched Chile. Then we moved to Costa Rica for 2 months, where we stayed in a wonderful hotel in the middle of the jungle as hostel sitters. After returning, we moved to Switzerland, to earn money for our next trip, and in the meantime we explored beautiful mountain trails 🏔️.

Just came back to Warsaw after 6 month backpacking, planned through Southeast Asia. Our plan has evolved, we decided to fulfill one of our biggest travel dreams and head east to South Korea and Japan. We’ve decided to come back home to participate in our favorite polish festival - Woodstock!

I love learning new things, especially about new cultures and things that all people on Earth have in common. In my free time in Poland I usually play (and collect!) board games or cook vegan food. I am a vegetarian so sometimes finding traditional food abroad is hard, but tasting new things is my passion. Food is something that makes my life better 😄. I would like to learn how to prepare popular dishes from all over the world, so I like watching recipes and cooking something new every day while at home.

I am a bit shy, but after a little time (or couple of beers...) things are changing and I am more talkative. But really, I love meeting new people and that would be so nice to spend time with you!

Actually we’re not looking for the couch, but for the new international friends! So me and my boyfriend Kamil, we're both would love to meet someone for a dinner, coffee, karaoke, beer or everything else you like. We love to visit more local places, that we would probably miss alone, but would also enjoy a casual cultural exchange in the park 🥹.

We don't have house in Poland by now 😅. But when we'll come back and rent something then that would be a pleasure to host someone 😇

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

With our lifestyle, it’s difficult to maintain friendships in Poland. I believe that this portal gathers people with the same mindset, so it’s the perfect place to find international friends. 🥹 Traveling as a couple often makes it hard for us to meet local people. At the same time, we believe that it’s impossible to get to know a new culture without getting in touch with locals. I’d love to meet new people on my way and learn something new each day. Because the world is about people 💫.
